Rocky: large, neutered male, 4-5 years, black with small white blaze on chest and some white whiskers.

Sandy: spayed bitch, 3-4 years, fawn and slight ‘ridge’ along the spine.

The dogs were removed from the previous owner. They had endured general neglect in a confined space and Sandy was used for uncontrolled, unregistered serial breeding.

They are now in temporary care in Port Alfred (Eastern Cape) where they have shown themselves to be playful, responsive, good with children and other dogs and even cats. However, they are not (yet) used to being indoors! Since they are used to living together it would be nice if these could stay together, but as they appear to be pretty adaptable, this need not be a prerequisite.

Please Note ! Due to the FIFA Football World Cup 2010 being held in South Africa this year, the South African Great Dane Association has decided to move their championship show from it's usual June date to the 22nd August 2010. The judge is still to be advised, so please check back for further information.
